REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) applies to eligible travel services purchased, reserved, arranged, or facilitated through Traveltron, LLC (“Traveltron,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and traveltronfares.com.

Refund and cancellation conditions vary according to the travel product purchased, fare or rate selected, supplier or fulfillment source, timing of the cancellation, and applicable law.

Traveltron, LLC Refund & Cancellation Policy

Please review the applicable fare, rate, cancellation conditions, and other material booking terms before completing a purchase.

Customers should review the applicable fare, rate, cancellation conditions, and other material booking terms presented before completing a purchase.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or waive any consumer or passenger right that cannot legally be waived.

General Refund & Cancellation Principles

Travel products do not all have the same cancellation or refund conditions.

Depending on the product selected, a reservation may be:

  • Fully refundable;
  • Partially refundable;
  • Refundable only before a specified deadline;
  • Changeable subject to conditions;
  • Subject to fare or rate differences;
  • Subject to supplier or service charges;
  • Non-refundable;
  • Non-changeable; or
  • Subject to special promotional, bulk, private, negotiated, consolidator, or supplier conditions.

The conditions applicable to the specific reservation will generally govern a voluntary cancellation unless mandatory law provides the traveler with additional rights.

Flight Reservations

Flight refund and cancellation eligibility depends primarily upon the fare conditions associated with the ticket.

Airline tickets may be refundable, partially refundable, non-refundable, changeable with a fare difference, subject to additional charges, or restricted after ticketing.

Fare conditions may vary according to the airline, route, booking class, cabin, supplier, consolidator, ticketing source, and type of inventory used for the reservation.

Customers should carefully review material fare restrictions before completing their purchase.

Bulk, Promotional, Private & Consolidator Fares

Traveltron may obtain certain flight inventory through fare consolidators, wholesalers, contracted ticketing partners, negotiated arrangements, private inventory, bulk fares, promotional inventory, GDS sources, travel APIs, or other travel-industry sources available through our panel .

Some of these fares may provide different pricing or availability from standard publicly available fares but may carry more restrictive conditions.

Depending upon the particular fare, restrictions may include:

  • No voluntary refund after ticketing;
  • No voluntary cancellation refund;
  • Limited or no permitted changes;
  • Supplier-imposed cancellation penalties;
  • Restrictions on routing or passenger changes;
  • Loss of fare value following a no-show; or
  • Other fare-specific restrictions.

Where a fare is materially restricted or non-refundable, the applicable restriction should be disclosed before the customer completes the purchase.

A customer who voluntarily cancels a non-refundable ticket may receive no refund of the airfare, except for amounts that must be refunded under applicable law or applicable supplier rules.

A fare being described as “non-refundable” for voluntary cancellation does not eliminate mandatory passenger refund rights that may arise because of an airline-initiated cancellation, qualifying significant change, or another circumstance covered by applicable law.

Customer-Initiated Flight Cancellations

A voluntary cancellation generally occurs when the customer chooses not to travel even though the booked transportation remains available substantially as reserved.

For voluntary cancellations:

  • Refundability depends on the applicable fare rules;
  • Non-refundable tickets may have no refundable airfare value;
  • Refundable tickets remain subject to their applicable conditions;
  • Airline or supplier cancellation penalties may apply;
  • Traveltron service fees may apply where separately disclosed and legally permitted;
  • Certain unused taxes or charges may be refundable where required; and
  • Cancellation requests may be subject to applicable deadlines.

Customers should contact Traveltron as soon as possible if they wish to cancel a reservation.

Airline-Initiated Cancellation or Significant Change

Different rules may apply when an airline, rather than the passenger, cancels or significantly changes a flight.

Where applicable law provides a passenger with a right to a refund following an airline-initiated cancellation or qualifying significant change, that statutory right applies regardless of a voluntary “non-refundable” fare condition.

For eligible air transportation to, from, or within the United States, applicable U.S. Department of Transportation refund requirements apply.

Where legally required, a passenger who does not accept the significantly changed transportation, rebooking, travel credit, voucher, or other alternative may be entitled to a monetary refund.

Traveltron will not apply a voluntary non-refundable fare condition in a manner that eliminates a mandatory refund right available under applicable law.

U.S. Air Passenger Refunds

For eligible flights to, from, or within the United States, refund rights are governed by applicable U.S. Department of Transportation requirements.

Where Traveltron is responsible for providing a legally required refund as the applicable ticket agent or merchant of record, Traveltron will process the refund in accordance with the requirements applicable to that transaction.

Where required by U.S. law, qualifying refunds are generally returned:

  • To the original form of payment;
  • For the refundable unused portion of the applicable ticket; and
  • Within the legally prescribed processing period.

Where another entity is the merchant of record or legally responsible for the applicable refund, that entity may process the refund.

24-Hour Flight Cancellation Rules

Certain flight reservations involving travel to or from the United States may qualify for federal 24-hour reservation protections, depending on how and where the reservation was made and the applicable legal requirements.

The statutory 24-hour rule applicable to airlines does not automatically mean that every ticket purchased through every third-party travel agency can be cancelled without charge within 24 hours.

Where a Traveltron booking independently offers a 24-hour cancellation option, the applicable conditions will be disclosed during the booking process or in the applicable reservation terms.

Nothing in this section limits any 24-hour cancellation or refund right that applies to a particular transaction under mandatory law.

Important Refund & Cancellation Notice

Refund and cancellation conditions vary according to the travel product, fare or rate selected, supplier conditions, timing of the cancellation, and applicable law. Customers should review the applicable material cancellation and refund conditions before completing a purchase.

Voluntary cancellation of a non-refundable or restricted fare may result in partial or complete loss of the travel value. However, a voluntary non-refundable condition does not eliminate mandatory refund rights that may arise following an airline-initiated cancellation, qualifying significant change, or another event for which applicable law requires a refund.

Traveltron service or consultation fees, where applicable, are separate from supplier charges unless expressly stated otherwise and may have their own refundability conditions as disclosed in connection with the applicable service.
